I have the A57 since mid-August! She has replaced the Komi D7D!
I've looked around a long time for an adequate replacement, played in the meantime even with a change in the system after a friend of mine once loaned his Nikon D5100 is available, which also appealed to me! Really happy I would not become a system change solely because of the costs!
And then the A57 arrived on the scene !!
Long I walked with her "pregnant", rolled forums, read articles and comments! Peer-reviewed them at photo retailers, etc.! I compared it with other products from Sony and the competition!
Despite initial skepticism (bezgl. Electronic viewfinder, new SLT-art) inspired me the A57 increasingly.
So bought and I have to say I have not regretted it at any second!
The camera has a very good operating concept, although I initially lacked the 2nd control wheel! That's what I got used to it very quickly and I no longer miss. The fact that she is very good in the hand, all key operating switches are within easy reach!
For users who already have experience with digital SLR cams, the menus are clearly structured and allow a very fast use / setting up the camera.
Especially the Fn menu is very good and allows a quick change of different modes!
For beginners, the book by Frank Spaeth, "The book to camera A57-A37" is recommended! After reading the book you know the camera in theory all right and the practice helps then to internalize the real good opportunities offered by the A57.
The image quality is absolutely convincing in my eyes, even with my old lenses, the z. T. date back to analog times! With the Tamron 17 - 50mm, F2.8, which I also treated myself to a new (the system change was unnecessary financial leeway ;-)), I'm simply amazed!
The electronic viewfinder, which I initially faced a bit skeptical, convinced me 100%, and I would say restrictive that me though comparison with other electronic viewfinders are missing, but here I just purely want to assess the A57!
He helps z. B. in low Lichverhältnissen a good motive assessment.
The display of a right taken image in the viewfinder is m. E. also very helpful.
Conclusion for me:
+ An absolutely excellent price / performance ratio
+ Good handling
+ Sophisticated user interface that enables even beginners a good and fast operation
+ Very good image quality, even at high ISO values
+ Long battery life
+ Very good image quality
+ Good viewfinder
+ Good workmanship, it makes a high impression - despite plastic
All in all, the A57 a very good camera, well thought out, easy to use, with excellent image quality (which of course also depends on the optics used)!
In my view, a very good product from Sony that has the competition is not afraid, but on the contrary:
It sets standards !!!!!!
In this sense!
Best wishes to the gentle reader
