For sound:
An excellently remixed CD, at the sound technically nothing is too short, neither the many instruments still singing. There is no comparison for example to the 1Live Radio concert (Unplugged), which ran recently. One notices formally that all parties have taken great pains and certainly practiced long. Peter sings quasi error free (which at concerts not always the case). Power simply to hear fun, also like very loud!
To the concert:
Many of the songs have been modified or revised and partly played with a completely new arrangement. "7 days 7 nights" you will be apart from the text probably hardly recognizable. It gets downright with the flair of the past Greece vacation. "54-74-90-2010" was played on a barrel organ. In "On the good side," Peter drums alternately in a way stool and the lid of a garbage can, and is accompanied by the actual drummer Flo on the accordion. The violins in "Roque I" sound almost like "Jaws".
In general, accompanied by chorus, violins, trumpets and piano is simply sensational beautiful, I liked a lot of songs in Unplugged version better than the original! And do not forget the guest appearance by Udo Jürgens on "I've never been to New York". My favorite songs are "Mag Table Tennis" and "Do only what your heart tells you," a duet with Meret Becker, who attended the same time also for the musical saw ... goosebumps! The song "Come" is on this album is not for nothing, "Vamos!", Because Peter sings him the majority in Spanish - also a great new, modified version that can extend the original over the water.
"Surfing" was performs Peter alone, just voice and guitar (respect, one has to first copy). Some songs are also accompanied by a chorus. Quasi top of it, there are two new songs, namely "Hey you" and in my view, hit-compatible song "Let me never let go."
Too bad that in the TV broadcasting only a fraction of the songs were shown. I strongly recommend the Special Edition CD, because only here all songs are included and each is worth it! One can only hope that in addition a DVD soon appear with the complete concert.
From me there are 5 stars and I recommend the CD not only die-hard fans, but also all those who stand on handmade German music with funny lyrics and good humor.
