The first test increased my enthusiasm: actually holding the little thing 1.5 kg (camera + lens) safely and without shaking, even at full extension!
Self- or cable release is here, of course mandatory.
Up here: full enthusiasm and full five stars - also six.
The first disappointment came after about four weeks sometimes very frequent use: the camera plate fell on the ball head, because the thread of the head had passed. Since the tripod does not have a quick-release plate, with each mounting the camera plate must be screwed into the camera thread and the thread of the head was the stress occurring probably not grown. Cullmann referred me to Amazon, the exchange went smoothly.
The exchange tripod is now four months old and again the thread of the head showing the first signs of disintegration. The ball itself, which was at the beginning still rock solid, now no longer holds a flash in an inclined position without slipping off slowly.
If you lift the tripod, flip two of the three legs to the central column and must be spread with the other hand again.
The Nanomax will have in the future, the honorable task to keep a flashlight if necessary to illuminate in position.
Conclusion: If the tripod keep permanently what it does at the beginning, it would be worth at least three times the price. So it is only recommended when it either
- (Almost) never want to use, or
- Anschafft as disposable travel tripod for only one trip.
