A conventional curtain rod lasts me because old porous plaster for a minute so that I had to look for an alternative. I have the rod extended to over 2.5 m, up pulled the curtain and the rod clamped between the walls (not about safe with all the windows - depending on the type of room). Keeps properly and flexes only slightly. Someone wrote that for him, the tension did not last very long, I have also glued two small sticks under the rod ends to the wall, so not all rushing in the worst case the same down, but until now (about 3 weeks) holding the rod as branch.
