But my review of the new TV.
Image quality:
During the 2010s TV from Philips as my predecessor TV (46PFL8605K / 02) even in the so-called. Perfect Motion mode and 200Hz mode with "tailing" just in faces of people had to fight, there is no longer this here. The picture is not quite as extreme "playful" and failed too gaudy. Of course you can use the Samrteinstellung "Lively" and run the TV here in the highest possible settings for animated films. So you have then in HD "exaggerated" sense. ;) But in my personal preferences, I have now a quiet, gentle, yet superb HD image. A noise that you just may see again and again in brighter scenes for Blu-Ray movies, there, too, but is not quite as flashy as in older devices.
A negative point there but the image that have but probably almost all Philips LED TVs that I looked so namely in lateral camera movement can be seen in lighter scenes slight "shadow" hanging like fog in the image. However, I think this is partly due to the yet still unevenly illuminated displays. However, this is only due when cramped inspection at, in the film operation rather few, as you concentrate on the movies.
3D quality:
Finally a TV with super 3D image! Unlike my aforementioned previous TV from Philips, by the way, ran 3D technology with shutter, there is almost always clear and error-free 3D experience here! Ghosting and ghosting, there are only very, very rarely seen. In my Shutter TV previously unfortunately I had in every movie and every scene repeatedly diplopia and just silhouettes to the objects in the movie. The resolution halved by the polarization technique I did not notice in my seat 3m distance from the TV. I've seen still feel full HD! My player for Blu-Ray and 3D movies is the Panasonic DMP BDT 110, connected to a Monster HDMI 1.4 cable. Although the conversion from 2D to 3D works but can not be compared with real 3D content. Partial are elements in the film is not "realistic" in the foreground or background, but float somehow involuntarily and inappropriate in the image around. ;) However, I find the 2D to 3D function of my player but still better than the TV itself but who just want to look just 3D Blu-ray, is well served here.. Thanks to the lightweight 3D glasses as well as in the cinema, which comes with the TV in 2X version, you can now without as already mentioned double vision and even without extreme "black out" of the picture live!
For sound, I can not say much because I let everything run on my home theater system and thus the TV had ausgeschlatet tone. Also about the sound problems unfortunately known which were only due to updates of Philips into being (crackle and expose the clay in CI + modules) can not say anything because I still receive television over the German Telekom in Momeent.
The 21: 9 format:
In addition to a better 3D TV, for me was also the cinema 21: 9 format which this television supports decisive for the purchase. But I myself have, despite the 46 "inches and thus 117cm diagonal of the previous TVs on the black bars annoyed repeatedly up and down. Even if you do not" see more "film gets as previously, so is the feeling while looking a such a film much more beautiful and become better. It's great fun films like the Star Wars saga, Lord of the Rings or even many other great movies now home around the TV to see size! :)
I wegsitze I must say that even if I look normal TV, the 16 3 meters from the TV: 9 format also can see without Proleme. Here I have indeed then left and right black bars, but the size of SD material is therefore fully in order. But also zoomed or adapted to the 21: 9 image, makes the normal television fun. Even TV shows like "The Simpsons") can be seen on 21: 9 look. The image distortions are so minimal that they are barely visible, and since one normally no comparison with a normal 16: 9 TV has, this is not disturbing. Because I let get no great importance to all television anyway, I love the Blu-Ray and 3D look extremely fun! Even my XBOX 360 or Nintendo Wii can be wonderfully on 21: 9 play. Since it in animated things eh not so extremely noticeable when it is pulled in the width, you also here almost "cinema experience" while playing. :)
Conclusion:
The TV is thanks to Ambilight and 21: 9 format, and the "Easy 3D" a real stunner. Even though I actually preferred always black TV devices, I find the matt brushed metal casing very classy. In the shops I found the TV rather "cheap" looking, but at home he makes very thing her. Of course he should "lower" size Unlike normal devices are at par due to its slightly. I stand him on a TV glass top, which is also the polarization 3D comes to Good. Then viewed from above or below the image, the 3D effect is lost and you can see everything twice.
But my recommendation for those who are unsure whether they should buy the TV or not! Even if the price is here at 2000, it is the money but worth it. I myself would have added not buy it for that amount, it seemed to me too much money. Instead the successor of my old TVs (46PFL 8606K) to buy, already is also 1300-1500, I now chose the 10cm more picture or a picture without the black bars, and for a friendlier and more peaceful now 3D image!
