On 14.1. I got an email from GLS that they. on the article 15.1 would determine from 14:00 17:30. I took a half-day holiday at short notice, to be present at this time. My husband was in the morning in the apartment.
Against 16:20 I read in an email, the driver tried to ring, but it did him no opened. That is not true, because I, as I said, at home waiting for the same period in the supply.
After I first pay hotline phoned at GLS (!), You could not help me. It has merely referred me to the Center in Eschbach. A telephone number was also full for the lady overwork, but why there is Google?
So I have the GLS-Center in Eschbach contacted. There they became embroiled in contradictions there. After my complaint, it was said, had the driver is in the morning (despite the auto-generated email that he had me at 15:44 not encountered) tried several times, but this is not true also, like my husband, who was in the morning as announced. Morning also nobody had rung with us. When I said the name was suddenly there, oh no, the afternoon was to be delivered ... but since I was there (had indeed taken me leave.)
Confronted with these facts, the lady faltered on the phone, she could not understand what could have happened, she wanted me to believe, but would also like to believe her driver. Nee, is klar!
Furthermore, I was told that the driver had unfortunately brought the package already in the over 1 km from the depot site, so I had to pick up it himself. A new delivery is not possible on the same day. Whether it would come the next day for a second attempt at delivery, or not, is irrelevant because I am a working woman and can not ever take a vacation to me. I would therefore anyway the next day not been there.
Unfortunately, I have to assume that the driver did not feel that almost 19 kg bring heavy package to the 4th floor and it brought instead to the depot.
I find that outrageous and very annoying.
Not only, I took extra holiday and 6 paid for the delivery, moreover, I had to also organize a rental car, since I (, 55 KG w) can not carry a 19kg heavy package over 1km to go home.
A collection of laziness, incompetence and lousy customer service at GLS.
My tip: RESPONSIBLE NEVER GLS !!! The generally have very bad reviews, if you look online ... so I'm not the only one!
