Pro:
+ Ideal storage solution for notebooks with a drive bay.
+ Combination of Tempo SSD for system partition and a data partition for huge HDD
+ High-quality presentation
Cons:
- The relocation of the existing system with the provided online software (Acronis True Image WD) cumbersome, time consuming and possible because of insufficient operating instructions only for experienced users. The program clones all existing partitions, even if you disable individual partitions. Only the data is not copied, which leads about the boot sector (system reserved) that the new drive on strike at boot time. The "superfluous" partitions must be first on the SSD will be deleted (for example with Paragon Partition Manager) and applied to the later-activated software HDD new.
Paragon Migrate OS to SSD can do better and self-explanatory!
- High price per GB of storage (RMS 112 GB SSD, 982 GB HDD)
- A partitioning needs to be done to separate the SSD and the HDD. Windows treats this after the (software) enabling of the HDD as a single drive.
- In Windows 7, the settings to optimize an SSD (disabling Superfetch, Indexing Service Hibernate etc.) not offered by the WD software.
This can Samsung SSD Magician better! There are several profiles (max. Performance, max. Service life, max. Reliability). This allows curb made of Windows in the background writes, what should increase the lifespan of SSD (Samsung will know). Tips for customizing Windows 7 can be found online about here:

- I do not work in sales ;-)
CONCLUSION:
The not quite inexpensive gift for my father took me 2 nights for the establishment / data transfer! The result made up for the effort.
ADDENDUM:
The price has fallen to a more enjoyable level. I purchased the drive for over 200.00. However, prices of SSD have generally fallen. I have, times spent on a 128 GB SSD, which is built into my laptop 180,00. In this panel it is now closely related to the storage space required. The external HDD helps because not really.
