The menu and user interface on the screen looks tidier than in Mario Kart Wii, which unfortunately interesting things such as the statistics have been omitted. What is new is an option for "Mario Kart TV" in the main menu, where you can watch your own race in slow motion. Jumps in super slow motion forward and rewind, here is two to three times quite funny, but in the long run, of course, not just captivating.
The integration of the gamepad can be described as poor. The display of the current ranking is uninteresting and the route summary would definitely be better off on the TV screen. Since Mario Kart 8 applies the gamepad for me definitely a flop and I am now waiting only for the fact that the user interface of the Nintendo Wii U so fashioning that the basic unit can be sold without a gamepad.
On the TV screen, there are almost no more useful ads. All time displays are missing and especially sorely lacking a mileage report that shows while driving, how is the race, and with which one could see on the Wii about, with how much risk you have to drive if one is already at the front.
The difficulty is rather moderate; within 1-2 days, you can unlock all the tracks and racers loose. I personally like the free configurability of vehicles not so good. Fixed (or at least given) configurations as with Mario Kart Wii would like that better, not to make too many decisions before unerfahrere player.
But what has me spoiled the fun of the game, are the emerged after a few months in-game purchases. The game presents itself overnight as incomplete, requires that I nachzahle money while showing even Mercedes-advertising. We're not talking about a mobile game for 90 cents, which has virtually no other way to generate revenue, but from a console game, for a full price has been paid. This is unacceptable for me.
