A 10-star album !!!

1973 proved TYA with the double album "RECORDED LIVE" that the Woodstock-Stars were to "Captain Fingers Speed" professional enough to make not grind the already tired of the numerous world tours strings, keys and skins. "Because TYA are damn good craftsmen, play clean and perfect" (Bravo). "Empathetic organ combines with massive bass lines and passionate drumming to Alvin's incredible guitar work" (POP). So was "RECORDED LIVE" an "All Time Rock - classic" among all albums of this genre, the best of the group live document which entrains still today. (Well, after the release of the double CD of the two concerts at the Fillmore East on 27 and 28 February 1970 arguing because of course the fan spirits!) Who would be proud of his record collection, which in any case had this album in his record collection - even if he was not on it, and this is true even today, I think, at least for guitarists. At Mr. SpeedKing not even Guitar Schnöseln pass.
In the recorded live concerts (Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Paris) to TYA showed not only with wild enthusiasm, but also as a swinging, rocking, grooving and really modern active blue Rock Band with entertainer qualities. A great album, which guitaristic qualities ALVIN LEE actually could outbid never again later. The here experiencing level of songwriting and arrangements he has since never reached (Guitar & Bass Magazine), which I personally do not see, however, quite so.
This legacy, with a clear definition of the blues-rock style was, with the chart squares England no. 26, US no. 36, and Germany no. 10 also did not go bad. And this at a time when disco was just starting to move the masses and, moreover, with an album in which Gitarrenlastigkeit and speed dexterity even savvy guitarists are mentally dropped out. At that time I always maintained and do this even today: a rock guitarist who is not on Alvin Lee, the only reason why is not it, because it eats the envy. And life does the man also still, he is a "living relic". Because you dare then stop as half Nobody yet to write a stupid number, even if one is Ambros.
