I wanted to pay reluctant, mainly because of the touch screen still has to work. So I thought about it, only to replace the glass. And that even works very well.
Who wonders if he should have it repaired his display for 200+ Euros, which should issue the 20 Euro for this display glass here and thus save his mobile phone.
I have replaced the individual radicals in my phone with a professional scalpel from the screen (no hairdryer, it was thanks to the good knife also so great) and then ordered me the display glass. The touch screen works without the glass also, but with a few quirks, so you should wait for the glass.
The screen, I then made with a microfiber cloth clean, put the battery from the phone and softened with the hair dryer the remaining adhesive, which was still on the phone. Served has not, I had to put in the lower part between two very small pieces double-sided tape. Then again heated and behold, almost like new!
If, loosening of glass pieces are inevitably scratched the screen a bit, but that falls to the new glass hardly on and then only when the screen is off.
I can recommend to anyone it so, it will save you a lot of money. If you work carefully in my opinion is the success rate at 99 percent. I do not know what this is going great wrong.
A star deduction there, because the glass is offered for example on eBay for almost half.
By the way: the fragmented is the old screen, the easier it is to peel off. Large glass parts have to be very, very slow and be removed without great force, as doing so may damage the screen under the glass, so pretty careful. Then it works though!
ADDENDUM: Have been several times to replace the glass. After prolonged use, I realized that accumulates dust under the glass.
Does not impair the function, but looks a little shabby from when the display is black.
The (tiny) space between display and glass leads then after a while even minor mistakes in touch leads. It can collect condensation including also what the cell phone not damaged but it is affecting the touch function. Whoever trusts should be better sticking with an adhesive and make sure that no air is trapped.
Nothing serious but not as a new display.
The gap created by the double-sided adhesive tape which was very thin indeed, but of course only covers the edge and not the center of the glass.
So: if you want that the phone looks like new must replace the entire unit well again. Who has even repaired very rare then stop NEN spinning touchscreen (which, however, is working again as soon as one makes the display on and off. Looks just not as great (actually only really when the display!).
