The composer Alan Menken remains one of my favorite composers, what allerdngs does not mean that there would be at his soundtracks nothing to complain about. With "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" However, he has delivered a body of work, where there is nothing to complain about with the best will. The music is about the entire soundtrack away bombastic and what is not typical is with Alan Menken: all pieces without vocals are melodic incredibly mature and fit perfectly between the vocal one! This gives an incredibly rounded soundtrack. The under painting pieces of certain scenes understand it perfectly reproduce the action, even if it no longer has made the film in detail in the head. The pieces are self-contained enough that you can imagine very own pictures based on the melody and such a good soundtrack should look. The strength is of course unchallenged in all musical passages with singing. The German speakers or singers do their job really perfect. You never miss the feeling vocally compared with the original something. The voices of German singers can compete very well with the bombastic sound of the instruments, which also soulful vocals come across perfectly. Very striking about this soundtrack is the choice of instruments, the Alan Menken has taken. Many of the pieces are worn with choralem singing in Latin and there are sounds of bells and organs are used and the central and very compelling theme of Notre Dame will be taken up again in very many ways. This soundtrack is so sophisticated that I often repeatedly listen to him and this honor can not claim many soundtracks for themselves. Strong buy recommendation!
