Gaye Adegbalola made famous as a member of Saffire - Uppity Blues Women (1984-2009) is one of the top artists in blues stuff. Gaye is a woman must have seen you live! She was already at Saffire times the boss in the ring and still is. It has an exceptional voice, plays several instruments and has sense of humor and wit. Your music / lyrics deal with women's rights, freedom and the right to be gay or lesbian, all this and much more often packed with a lot of humor in their songs. The Wild Rutz (Roots) go back to the roots, the album is not only acoustically but a capella blues. In times of perfectly arranged, digital, electronic sounds that is certainly a bold move. But, nothing ventured nothing gained. The album I had to listen to some times to get used to my ears to this sound. Voices, now and then a harmonica or guitar, handclaps, that's it. Apart Gaye Adegbalola one hears the voices of: Tanyah Cotton, Gloria Jackson and Marta Fuentes.
