Before delving into play this exciting and very well written story, it is to understand the ins and outs of this story to a brief historical summary on Lirlande.
From the beginning of the historical period (sixth century BC.), Lirlande is a Celtic land whose people speak Gaelic. The Celts arrived mainly dEspagne and will never colonized by the Romans in Ireland.

On the death of the father, the whole family leaves Killybegs, while northwest of Lirlande, crosses the border and at the uncle Lawrence sinstalle Finnegan, his mother's brother, Belfast.

Lincompréhension between Tyrone returned to Killybegs in 2006 and his son Jack Lira young soldier is a particularly pathetic moment:
"He frowned. He seemed not to understand. Backwards, he took the path to the road. Without a word. He left side. He left the house, his childhood, the old well, the caressing flame candles, goblins, forest, he left the village of his ancestors, his father, all Lirlande I had given him. He walked with outstretched arms. He stumbled without seeing. My child, my son, my little soldier. He was crying. He had his mouth open in pain written. He shunned. He ran away from me. "
31 December 2006: Tyrone the "traitor" is 81 years old; he is a hunted man in the family hut Killybegs. He writes everything that passes through his mind, his memories and thoughts somehow; his wife Sheila who lives in Strabane remote because of the danger comes with the need to celebrate Christmas Eve.
