* MY OPINION *
Wow. I am totally blown away by this book.
The first few pages I found a bit strange; The text is written in the present tense and so I came initially not clear when - is used past tense - also in English. And I have not quite understood what it was about and what is actually happening, because the first part of the plot a little anticipate attacks.
In the second part, but Nathan's story is then told from the very beginning and I got into it getting better. Until I liked put the book barely out of his hand.
The writing style is captivating. Since it is a youth book, the language is quite simple and I need to look up only a few words. Mostly I found the descriptions of what Nathan is done, but too cruel for a youth book. It is my estimation more for over 16-year-old.
The characters are great - especially Nathan as the protagonist, but also all the other characters (even those that appear only briefly), are described as loving and detailed that I could imagine and pictures had in mind. You can learn to love or hate, and I think it's always great when characters to achieve something like this.
The story overall has excited me. The suspense begins relatively early, and Sally Green keeps him very long above - there are always new developments, small twists or new characters who cheer on the tension and fun. It was the story for me always believable and authentic characters, the author has not gone too far.
A great book I happy to recommend, but with a little warning: It's addictive! :)
And it is not for the faint of heart, because I found some scenes very cruel.
