The first four symphonies are early works:
-the symphony in A major ----- 15 years
-The first 18 -------------------
-l "'Urbs Roma" ----------------- 22 years
-The second ------------------- 24 years.
The last of these symphonies, the third with organ [we should say the fifth], has been written in the maturity of the author and fifty-one. When one is able to write for the orchestra as well as a youth, we better understand the facilities he had for the composition in general.
This is the first CD I bought when it came out 33 laps. To switch from VHS to DVD I chose Henry Saint-Saëns with the Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne (see my review).
Clearly term, Camille Saint-Saëns gave me envi to adjust to my own time.
