I use the Fujinon XF 55-200 on my X-T1 as a supplement to the standard Fujinon Zoom XF18-55mm,
Ceiling thus a large focal length range from only 2 lenses (KB: 27-300 mm) and am very satisfied with the results.
Already slightly dimmed, it provides a crisp sharpness and the contrast fits, especially when Film Simulation VELVIA.
Until a few months ago, I dragged myself nor with the Mega-Pixel Monster Nikon D800 full-frame and some Nikkor lenses from, including the Nikon AF-S optics peak 70-200 / 2.8 VR II.
Based precisely on this lens, I was initially skeptical to find a good successor for approximately.
Added to this was the reduction of the full-frame sensor in APS-C.
But the more surprised I was after I had fired the first shots with the 55-200 on the smaller but a lot of sensor X-T1:
the nearly half as heavy and also significantly more favorable Fujinon XF 55-200 was the professional
2,8er Nikon Zoom quite good 'water-rich'.
And I do not consider my shots at any small laptop monitor but on a 27-inch monitor iMac.
The feel of 55-200 agrees that repeatedly subdivided aperture raced clean one on the aperture ring,
the image-stabilization works at a steady hand down up to 1/30, only the supplied to the metal-sheathed lens disproportionate and cheap-looking hood bothers me ... and for that (!) - sorry Fuji's from me a * less.
.... In short, the Fujinon 55-200 is again a both optically and mechanically excellent lens from Fujifilm for its X-System
