The Prophet (Paperback)

Customer Review

"The Prophet" is probably one of the simplest and most profound books that exist. Al Mustafa, the character that is expressed throughout the book, answers questions from the crowd, and each of his answers illuminate subjects that concern us all: marriage, children, the laws, the gift, death. .. But, far from a philosophical discourse, the prophet's word resounds like a poet. Not a poet who writes poetry and rhymes, but a poet who is the personification of poetic ideal. A language while image that speaks to intuition, and makes fun of linear reason. A wisdom that comes from the heart, and that speaks of love, the presence of love in everything. Because "The Prophet" is a message and an invitation to love. This is a book I connect each year. Along the same lines, with the same alliance between depth and simplicity, you also have the great Asian classic "Tao Te Ching" by Lao Tzu. And if you prefer more modern things: "The gift of the prophet" Chris Iwen, that sounds like a resurrection of the Prophet Gibran, but sublimated.
