A classic Stephen King

Usually I prefer Stephen King novels involving many characters (like "Ca", "Bazaar", ...) and which are full of seemingly unrelated details about the lives of each other before any it did join in breathless final. For his novels focus on one or two characters (such as "Firestarter" or whatever), I normally harder because if we do not hang with the character of the protagonist, reading is long (even if the suspense is there).

But I must say that for "Christine", all that has shattered.

We follow the few months of slice of life Arnie young pimply teenager and secluded, with only one friend named Denis, and the day he will cross a 1958 Plymouth in a street on the way home will radically change behavior. Nothing will count from that time, if not to buy this car and retype. All this will lead him to further isolate the point where even his parents and Denis will do little to recognize the little ... Even met a girl he falls in love does not allow him to return to the right path and to break free from the grip of this car named Christine by its former owner.

Little by little we learn the past related to this car and you realize that Arnie will not go back.
Christine will ensure ...

So we can assume that the subject chosen by Stephen King is really far fetched (because it must recognize that give life to a car, it is not common!), But the plot and style that are History never falls into the ridiculous that instead the suspense and tension will crescendo over the pages, with some humor regularly heartfelt passages that make the pressure go down. That's how you mastered his style!

Again S. King addresses the problems of adolescence and of American society and plunges enthusiastically into the 80s on the other side of the Atlantic, where cars had so much value and where the youth appeared to be something that mark you for life!

In the end, despite my initial skepticism, I spent a great time to read "Christine" and I think I'll try to see the adaptation of John Carpenter as soon as possible!
