The harp is not very often found in jazz. In his composition "For Turiya" Charlie Haden enters into an exciting dialogue with John Coltrane's widow.
The last piece, "For A Free Portugal" is based on an experience Charlie Haden, which he made in 1971 during a concert in the then dictatorial Portugal. The cassette recording of his announcement in Lisbon that his arrest had the consequence he has just interwoven in this recording as shots that the Angolan Liberation Army had created in 1968.
