Everyday experiences:
Among the technical point of view, I will not say anything. Each of these data will be interested in the camera anyway read on the Internet. Much more interesting are probably my everyday experiences with the little "flatterer".
What impressed me positively are the electronic viewfinder (and the concomitant exposure preview), the presence of 2 adjuster (for Aperture and shutter speed) and the unlimited configurability of the small camera. Anyone who wants to can actually occupy almost every knob individually and assemble entire own modes, which are then accessible via the dial.
The autofocus performance in the Spot AF is impressive. One can (assuming a nifty lens) the shutter actually almost in a press. Even the touchscreen is a useful solution. With a fingertip can be the focus area almost anywhere on the window viewing place (and also equal to automatically trigger interest). When I look at the comparison, consider how inconvenient this is solved in most middle class DSLR is still very different from me: D.
Otherwise, the camera truly offers everything needed an (ambitious) Amateur. Even the entry level will be determined with the many motivational and scene programs happy.
Sensor size:
Many amateur photographers have to trust still inhibitions in front of the pretty small Micro Four Thirds sensor. Too big concern is losing high ISO capability and potential exemption.
All those I would say: this concern is (in most cases) unfounded.
- High ISO: compared to the Canon EOS 60D Olympus is clearly better in my eyes. I have without flinching photographed with ISO 6400 and thereafter minimal noise removed with Adobe Lightroom. The result for me is more than satisfactory. Prints up to A3 are MMN no problem.
- Exemption Potential: yes, it is less than that of a camera with an APS C or even KB sensor. The physics can not outwit nunmal. Nevertheless, it is never negative noticed. Why? Well, most MFT lenses are so good, "expected" that you usually even at full aperture has a sharp image. The resolution gain by stopping down is low, so you can easily take pictures "open" in the rule. In order for the potential exemption of a larger sensor quickly fades away. What I use a theoretical maximum aperture of 1.4, for example, when I first stop down to 2.8 has a "knack sharp" to obtain image?
For me a clear recommendation.
