Not to be missed as long as you are interested in the Spanish Civil War but especially the traces that this tragic episode has left in the subconscious of all its actors, their children and grandchildren and, ultimately, of all Spanish. The "Soldiers of Salamis" force for reflection, far from simplistic but also complacency. The book is written in a more beautiful language and translation is excellent. To read urgently!
