It is true quau beginning, this book did not please me at all, or rather, do not tempt me. Then the reviews fell all agree: many heart strokes and many good discoveries. So, in my turn, I launched myself and I have loved and devoured this first volume. A remake of Cinderella Version Cyborg was a really ingenious idea.

Cinder, adopted its eleven years by a human is a half-human, half-cyborg, that is to say what is a kind of robot, what feels good human things such as anger, love, sadness, friendship. Raised by the wife of one who passed, it is not loved and constantly belittled on her robot condition. There are only moon two sisters, the youngest, Peony, who shows him that love can also move beyond mere humans.

She mechanic to support herself, but especially bring them under his stepmother stepmother, who, say it well, lexploite without any remorse. The day when one of the residents will be affected by the disease circulating in the air for 12 years now, Cinder life will truly change. By the meeting of Prince Kai, she will see that quon can tell the people to reassure them is not necessarily the real truth, and quun dark secret behind.

If at first i had a little trouble getting into the universe and understand exactly the ins and outs of this, spent a few pages, I havent been able to find that one thing: this universe is completely addictive and lauteure plays very well on it, to offer us for chapters to continue pushing our reading, even when our eyes close by themselves. This is how quen hardly a day i devoured this book, that I attached to Cinder, Kai, the doctor, and Peoni Iko. So many characters having their own character but which complement each other perfectly well.

Soon, Cinder will realize that ugly as he wants to bring the doctor will be invaluable, and he also hides something heavy. It will be a popular ally, very smart, meticulous, calculating, desperate to protect her, even if it means endangering.

Regarding Kai, I fell under his spell from his first words when he meets for the first time Cinder, in his studio. It is reserved, humble, natural, although its role for his country to be increasingly important. It does not take a big head, and takes the very survival of his people at heart. In this, it is a loving prince but especially loved.

Conversely engaging characters, there are those quon would like to see the head on a pike, or disclosed under their real identity. I will not name names, but know that this character mest out by the nose holes throughout the reading and the times when it is crossed. And it lauteure succeeded well in creating an infamous character quon has to hate (if not, this is quon no heart). But despite his unbearable, his psychology is very well done and complete. And what I tell you will seem to lopposé of what I just described but sometimes javais wait to see this character, because I knew it would bring even a much stronger spice to the already well-paced narrative. Where it is in the corner, I can tell you quon feels embarrassed, oppressed, disturbed, like those standing before him. The presence and the madness that lhabitent are such that the mood is seen decreasing and air saturated. So much javais wait to see him from time to time, as when he was there, that he wanted to leave.

In short, a universe that has membarquer completely. A Cinderella tale revisited dune so, quon almost forget the original tale and the real story. The characters are very endearing, especially Cinder which is supposed to feel nothing, and in the end, certainly feels more things than her stepmother and moon sisters who are truly unbearable two pests. A very well done plot, although after 50 pages javais guessed the secret, but unlike usual, it na not spoil my reading! a reading I therefore advise all those who love revisits tales. Forget almost main story, and immerse yourself in this unusual universe and smoothly carry! A first volume saga that promises a very compelling and addictive!

* I thank Mary and PKJ for their confidence and the discovery of this saga! *
