This book Petit Nicolas is like the previous, very refreshing. This is the kind of book that does not read in one sitting, but some episodes at a time, not to get tired. Indeed, there is no denying that it is a perfectly oiled machine, a recipe with various falls but still brought in much the same way. It would have been very interesting for collectors, the curious or enlightened amateurs, and for those who, like St Thomas, doubt the authenticity of the stories, to publish their release dates and names of the newspapers. One can easily assume that the stories in this new volume is not as strong as originally published, that Goscinny and Sempé does not just have the outputs album before, because they were less catchy, less successful. As to the different style of drawing on some episodes, Sempé explained by the fact that he had to redo, the original being unusable. Finally, one in the other, I had a lot of fun to find this nice little character with just as good designs and stories still very well done.
