I was initially very skeptical, since flavors sometimes not really deliver what they promise. This caramel flavor is not among them. It really tastes like caramel, and has no aftertaste. It's no picnic set, so it must be sweetened anyway, whether with sugar or sweetener.
The aroma should be very precisely metered, 2 ml per 500 grams. I have taken for 200 g peanut bars a ml. That was then but a tick too many. The caramel flavor covered the peanut flavor almost completely. So perhaps rather less use than specified. The preparation of small pastry or dessert sets is therefore a little tricky. A dropper with scale is not only helpful, but in my opinion essential. Teaspoon or so are for the size variations simply too inaccurate.
All in all I highly recommend this product. When using granulated sugar, although it makes little sense when you but the caramel flavor despite sugar substitute (sweetener can now not caramelize) not want to miss, this flavor is a good alternative.
