A full-blown scandal !!!

Well, what can allow themselves anyway? What else but a glibbriges Prog monster could one expect from this formation? Morse (Steve & Neal - unrelated and not verschägert), Portnoy, LaRue & Casey McPherson (who is that?); The cast speaks for itself. A Neal Morse has every album, on which he had more than one Gastaut ride (his Worship fuss we leave time left), his distinctive prog grocery modular pressed on the eye. And now this!

Since the Proggie roars towards a looking incredibly gradlinniges and grooving rock thingy that he rises flush of anger to the hairline. A sacrilege! An unprecedented audacity, which is tantamount to subversion. This may not be the ...

So, or something like it has happened in so many prog Living well.

Granted me "Flying Colours" convinced also not the first time around. McPherson I stopped initially for a miscast. Too much he sounded to me like a US mainstream concensus voice ala "The Calling"; "3 Doors Down"; etc. (ie those singers who can hold no one apart). This "Shouda, coulda ..." found and I still find useless and 11 minutes, "Infinite Fire" with that stupid convoluted Bekehrungs-Lyrics went against the grain. Nevertheless, I was able to get a grin, whether the expected outrage the prog purists not resist.

With each listen, however, the positive impressions put more and more. The provocative grooving "Blue Ocean" as the entry is simply splendid, "The Storm" and "Kayla" shine with great melodies.
Casey McPherson sings ultimately somehow intrinsically and yet not to "Middle of the Road", as initially feared. The two, three ballad-like title turn the corner, and I think there just saves the singer the ship prior to the course in the kitsch. The entire team is working song useful (Song: Terminology for prog purists; is a self-contained piece of music that is characterized by homgenes Interact of musicians, with the song and not the skills of the musicians take center stage). By Steve Morse and David LaRue was even to be expected, but that Mike Portnoy is the Nobody and Neal Morse is probably often gone times pray in between, really surprised me. Hats off!! With "Love is what I'm waiting for," there is even a song on the album that breathes the air of the great "10CC". Who would have thought?

Had you been really consistent, one would have omitted 1-2 faltering title and you would have made from the Alibi PROG NUMBER end two short crisp runabout. So after all, but it's enough for a more than solid debut with 2-3 special treats and a scandal! The men are welcome to let look times in persona and can be followed by a second album.
