Of course you have also noted that this is an action-adventure, so it's mainly about running around opponents to defeat and things to collect. (I usually prefer playing RPGs .. a One Piece RPG would be great!) A little break from walking around there by activities such as fishing or catching beetles and lizards, yielding new dishes to cook (= permanent status improvement) or drugs produce (= healing potions) can.
The islands I find beautifully designed and they all remain faithful to their respective theme. There are lots of extras and secrets to explore in the game or at the 2nd playthrough later, so the game remains longer exciting.
Ganz toll are the strengths of the different characters, can recognize those familiar with the series directly. So Brook example, sprinting across the water, with his Chopper Rumble Ball are very strong and Franky build anything.
In my opinion, the allusions to the manga story are not too strong, so you can not really call the spoiler .. Although the German series, unfortunately, is not really there yet.
