This new installment in the Mystery series is first good comics, well paced, with a narrative that runs through to and from the organization and implementation of the "Day of Black Sun" and the origins of Steve Rowland. It does not get bored and you learn a bit about Steve Rowland. Compared to the parent series, the episode makes the seam between several well known events but were not well connected. It is rather in terms of depth that this volume is limited. Depth of the character: the previous volumes were ambitious of more mature psychological portraits, sometimes with great subtlety, especially for Irina Mongoose or how innocence, love, are turned into murderous hatred. Depth Series: Albums on Amos Jones and ended on a brilliant stroke which affected deeply the whole XIII universe, revealing identities or creating incredible links between the characters. In "Steve Rowland," the return to the origins racism explains the character, but rather with a historical narrative by establishing psychological patterns. However, the album has very little bearing on the parent series, no revelation. It does well sewing, but does not change the dress.
