When the Nokia Lumia 920 was presented to me was really clear that I would buy it. But then things turned out differently, because I have compared the respective top models from Nokia and HTC in the store.
When I took the Nokia in the hand, I was a little surprised at how clunky it worked. It is wide and thick. And so the display has a comic edge, because I found that the Lumia 800 chic.
The HTC is lighter, smaller, and feels thinner at. And it looks fiercely celebrated. It was love at first sight. Even the touch I immediately had a good feeling. The device is really super processed and the design is unparalleled. Where it looks damn similar to my now so detached Samsung Omnia 7.
Why Nokia?
- Higher resolution in width means that the proportions are identical to the Windows Phone 7.x devices, which has a positive effect on the Ruckwärtskompatiblität Apps. Have Old Apps namely the HTC 8X with its 720 pixels wide a distance from the upper edge. I do not mind it so much now, and it is certainly better if the apps are converted to Windows Phone 8 with the time
- Faster display
Display operated even when wearing gloves, etc. -
- Wireless charging
- The best phone camera that there are, with stabilizer
- LTE
- 32 GB Memory
- Nokia Apps (Drive, City Lense, etc.)
- Several exclusive apps that are withheld only Lumia customers, at least temporarily
Why HTC?
- Approximately 100 cheaper
- Beats Audio
Why do I have so bought the HTC? Quite simply, as I said, the first impression of the HTC 8X was much more positive. While it will cost 100 less, but this one has technically been some drawbacks. So I looked at myself all the pluses from Nokia and asked myself: do I really need it? Display: No, wireless charging: no, cell phone camera: Not that important, LTE: costs in Vodafone charge and I have no interest, 32 GB: I got along well with 16GB and will it continue, Nokia Apps: as Navi I will anyway do not need the DB Navigator app is now also become quite well.
The Lumia 920 and the HTC 8X are both excellent smartphones, but both have to make compromises. Who the size of the Nokia does not bother making it best served who so much emphasis is not on the aforementioned advantages but rather want a little more manageable device (which I think looks even better) and still want to save some money should the HTC 8X definitely consider. For me, this is the 8X better compromise.
