Your first novel Millenium trilogy. It is easy to read on vacation, and you find yourself wanting to turn the pages to find out what will happen when, in the background, it going rather slowly. The characters are properly brought, but their interactions sometimes takes time before getting up. Stylistically, there's nothing special (nor bad, for that matter). It is effective without being frantic. No delays, no superfluous descriptions: all serve the plot. It's almost a shame, because we would like it to spend a little more time to describe the landscape of this northern country houses of the different characters of the island, or the drafting of the Millennium. So it's nice, fast read, soon forgotten, without any pretense or depth. There is some violence contained, and a permanent blackness, however, give a good atmosphere, and it is probably this that keeps the reader in suspense. A good book holidays or travel, but not an indispensable addition to a library.
