2nd book of 3 volumes tracing the history of the twentieth century, Bernstein and Milza offer here a comprehensive book on this big quarter century following World War and traces overall well inernationnale history in the context of Cold War. The reproach which may be made to this book is that it appears a bit like "indigestible", chapters enchainent without real meaning and purpose, we do not necessarily respond to a problematic allowing us to better understand this period so rich in events. Anyway, all in all a very good tool for students, very interesting for history ferrus but to read in small doses to avoid indigestion.
