Our son played now have 2 years with the Brio wooden train. At Christmas, he has an ICE with "accordion" and red DB characters desired. In Marklin we struck gold. He plays incredibly happy with the new train and the idea is really well done, especially the station announcement and the original sound of the door closing ICE fascinate him. However, the C Track Märklin are not so robust that they can build a 4-year-old with no problems apart. A switch has been suffering and will probably need to be replaced. So Papa should necessarily be doing the assembly and disassembly. What fascinates me is that the train now 7-piece (also dining and sleeping cars) runs with the original battery pack for 3 weeks. The Brio trains we have a week to replace the batteries. So clear recommendation for children who are fascinated by railroads.
