The book gives a very good introduction to the programming of AVR microcontrollers. It is divided into 3 sections, ranging from the basics to sophisticated projects. The book provides a lot of detail with example projects on hand of the ATmega 168 on a very understandable way. The writing is still loose, very pleasant to read and brings thereby the details precisely to the point. I bought this book in order to go deeper after several smaller projects with the Arduino, and can this purpose only recommend this book. You learn a lot, in an entertaining way, building some pretty cool projects.
