I bought a flat LED panel and so cobbled together a really stylish illuminated table and a crystal ceiling lamp (see photos). Now I have traveled all over the apartment HUE built ... Only the table could not be controlled with the color / brightness etc., it went through a LivingWhites socket adapter with Hue only "table on / off". By forums tip I've heard of this circuit and accessed after looking at the website of Dresden Elektronik immediately. Forget the (almost as expensive) Philips LED Strips for Hue, this here is the much better solution, almost arbitrarily long LED chains, RGBW support, problem-free (!) Hue integration. But why only 4 instead of 5 stars? First of all I missed for the protective cap 2 small screws in the package, almost every hobbyist has in a small grab bag at home, but I would have something like this ... The next point: Yes, I know some will certainly find it unfair - HUE finally automatically does NOT support Living Color. This means that the Living Color remotes that is likely to have owners at home almost every avid HUE, unfortunately not be able to connect with this circuit ... Since you now do not always want to fumble a smartphone / tablet from his pocket, just to have short light on / off, these remotes are sure to become almost indispensable for some. Even strangers apartment (visiting friends / relatives) should be without app installation and Hue Registration able to control the light. I have certainly some remote controls in use (coupled with the lights of each room) and it is an annoying restriction. Especially as the nice trick with the automatic color change currently only be activated with the remote control. Unfortunately smart home automation is still a pretty confusing terrain. Alone in Hue. SmartLink / ZigBee / LivingWhites / Living Color / Hue, etc., etc. fly one of these terms without further explanation constantly around the ears, but unfortunately fail the manufacturer in addition to the features and sometimes important information, you will lose any of things to present. The Living Color does not work can be found on the manufacturer's site unfortunately only if you specifically Browsed thereafter, in the FAQ as the last point. Hue enthusiasts this is a pretty important note. But I would have bought anyway and am already thinking when I buy the next circuit of Dresden Elektronik and where I verbaue with me!
