With Windows 7 (64bit Pro) can be expensive SilverFast 8 software not use.
Both the Plustek 8200i, and my existing scanners are not recognized by the software.
That's a pity, because it is precisely the combination of expensive scanners and expensive software is supposed to bring good results.

The scanning of slides and negatives / positven films has more than 10 years ago to work better for me - with a Mustek flatbed scanner with a transparency unit and looped through printer interface ...

After much trying: the scanner is recognized as A2F FilmScan - sadly thinks the computer is a flatbed scanner. With the Windows Paint own or with IrfanView or Viewscan the scanner could be moved for scanning. Max 1200 DPI, poor quality.

Conclusion: A product without drivers for 64 bit Windows - useless.
