These places are dead (Paperback)

Customer Review

There are books that can change your life, this sentence is a bit pompous but this is what happened with mest LÉvangile by Satan, the first novel by Patrick Graham. When I lai opened for the first time, I was far to imagine that it would not only be lun of my biggest heart shots for many years to come, but also the beautiful dune early friendship with the author.
Through his novels, his style saffinait, ideas (although sometimes not well controlled) were amazing and its characters, as you say except that they stick to the skin. When we read the novels of Graham that we can keep a long time in memory the image of Ezekiel, Caleb and especially Mary.

In These places are dead, it depicts us, once again, a character palette unusual. Of course, of all, there is a spring that far. I've had a real heart for Sheriff Ed Crawley, this is a broken man who might well be let go and wait for this purpose that he knows very close but will continue to move forward. It is touching, moving, quite the kind of character that knows Graham out of his imagination that he remains in the depths of our memory, warm with Mary and the others.

Searl's confusing, we feel from the beginning that he hides a deep secret / trauma, we want to help him, but also to shake, his actions are disturbing to say the least but at the same time, we are quau early history and I think we're not at the end of our surprises with him.

Once again, the villain of the story is a character quon love to hate but that will be amazing and yet the word is weak. You thought you'd read about psychopaths, madmen of all kinds? Let me tell you quavec it you will spend sleepless nights. His na DeGale madness that evil and desolation that he maketh wherever he goes and yet at some point you're going to want to know more den, quest that could have happened to him that he is so, who is responsible and he seeks sen taking directly to the family of Dr. Searl?

Here, you are caught in nets and the end, even if we reserve big surprises, will only be more frustrating because we will have to wait and to finally have the late history of the word. I trust this talented writer to concoct it with love and we booked a chilling end as only he knows how.

I'll end this column by saying that he does mest happened only once read a novel twice, and again with tens of years Decart. I've had the chance and the honor to read the first draft of these places are dead and my dive with delight that does not prevent me to read upon completion and final version, that only a few months after my first reading. I rediscovered the characters, events, raised my small details that métaient passed under the nose and the second reading confirmed my affection for Crawley.

A rather long review but it's been a while javais want to pay tribute to the novels of Patrick Graham, a great man of French thriller and especially someone good. Changes nothing, Msieur Graham, your awesome as you are!
