Here is my checklist, that you may be over all the pros and cons in the picture:
PRO
+ Low power consumption & life
-> With just 70 watts of power consumption of the projector is much more energy efficient than most of his colleagues with normal (> 240 watts) bulbs. In addition, the projector is even more energy-saving than a 46 "LED, but makes a much bigger picture. That was the main reason for me to choose a LED projector. In addition, keep LED projector even in everyday use much more than 10 years, so that a expensive belongs relamping with LED projectors of the past. No follow-up costs. LG is the way 3-year warranty on the LED illumination.
+ Good contrast & color
-> Thanks to the 15,000: 1 contrast, the black really black and the colors are gorgeous, natural and highly luminous.
+ Menu
-> The menu is the best I've met so far by a beamer. Very many settings, although intuitively. Of course in the German language.
+ HD-ready resolution
-> Since transmitted in HDTV transmitters anyway only 720p, the resolution just fine. Of course 1080p makes Blu-Ray even more fun, but is also disproportionately expensive. HD ready is a good compromise, makes a lot of fun with the home theater.
+ Connectivity
-> Are really top! HDMI and PC (SUB-D) are naturally present. The USB port can read both external hard disks and USB sticks, and had until now no problems with .MKV * or * .avi formats. The File Browser is designed clearly. Per AV input can be connected via SCART or RCA also old receiver, etc.. An audio output 3.5 mm jack is also available. Overall, super connectivity.
+ Size & Design
-> The projector is really compact. It is very light but still makes an impression of quality when it comes to processing. The design is simple in white glossy and like. Very elegant Beamer.
+/- Brightness
-> 700 ANSI lumens are currently the brightest thing to have in the field of LED projectors. Once it's out dim or dark at best, is the image of a super quality. Due to the low brightness compared to conventional projectors, the contrast is however much better and like. However, one must honestly say that an operation in daylight is not fun. Here, projector with over 2500 lumens (ie about three times the power) a clear advantage. The projector does not replace me on the TV. I have a small 23-inch LCD, on which I watch daytime. Once it is dark, but I use always the projector.
+/- Volume level in ECO mode
-> In the ECO mode setting (center point) is really hard to hear the projector. This is very pleasant and well in quiet environments volume of Beamer does not interfere. The brightness in this mode is absolutely sufficient. But as soon as one uses the full brightness, the fans are uncomfortably loud. And, although the picture is hardly brighter. My advice is to operate the projector only at medium power saving settings, otherwise it will be really loud.
+ Built-in speakers
-> The two built-in stereo speakers surprised me absolutely positive. They range from completely if, for example. TV looks. Of course, I turn the action movie on DVD to my system. Overall, one must say that the built-in speakers really offer much.
+ Auto Keystone Correction
-> The projector automatically corrects the keystone effect. This keystone effect occurs when the image is higher or lower projected on the wall as if it would be optimal due to the position of the projector.
+ Remote
-> Small, handy, sensible button layout, robust.
CONTRA
- No lens shift
-> The image size can be regulated only by the distance of the projector from the wall. This led me to problems, since the projector for the best picture size had to be mounted on the ceiling. With other projectors can adjust the picture size to the projector itself, and thus on the one prepares the distance or the position of the projector. Due to the size was then dispensed with LG - alas! Therefore you have to install the already 100% assured to the set-up position, since one can change anything on the screen size in retrospect.
- Focus inaccurate
-> The wheel which allows you to adjust the focus, is relatively inaccurate. While the focus adjustment works, but could have been more comfortable.
- Sharpness
-> Overall it must be said that there are projectors that cast a noticeably sharper picture on the wall at the same resolution. Negative falls on this especially if you project the PC Bildschrirm, as you can see here the blur due to the many details clearly. When playing movies but this is hardly noticeable more.
- External power supply
-> The power supply is external. This is understandable, since the projector can not accommodate an integrated power supply due to its compact design. But this leads to the problem that you somehow have to be mounted on the holder the power supply of the projector using a ceiling mount. I've fixed the power supply with cable ties on the projector.
- Brightness in daylight
- The brightness of at least 700 ANSI lumens for a satisfactory image in daylight is> As described above not sufficient. The room must be darkened during the day compulsory.
CONCLUSION:
For me, clearly the best LED Beamer is to have up to date. Colors appear natural, brightness is quite enough for darkened rooms or at night. The price for this service more than fair.
Due to the low power consumption, this is definitely the projector if you want to replace a TV. It is cheaper than all Beamer By 70watt consumption and most TV's 40 "and may like to run a little longer.
Highly suitable for home theater, also due to the low volume and the super contrast.
In bright or bright rooms, however, a projector with over 2000 lumens is much better. Meanwhile, you have to be aware of.
