A great workout for beginners and refresher :)

I have received the above-mentioned video tutorial to me some time ago and was very excited to see how it is structured and how the coach implements this. I myself am working also a bit longer with JavaScript and HTML5 first in web development and currently with the AppEntwicklung. Thus it is possible with these two technologies to build not only beautiful websites, but also equal to the matching Apps for Windows 8.1 / 10 and Windows Phone. 8
Expectations are ever great! For a better overview by my review, I chose headings.
When I received the little box with the training, I have a DIN A5 found large cardboard box with a plastic bag inside. In the plastic packaging I found a DVD and a booklet for training.
Issue:
The booklet consists of 19 pages with information about the Coach and an explanation of the condition for retrieval of video, as well as a table of contents. The text is well written and the many pictures help for orientation and also allow even querzulesen.
Here I would like to see a poster or 3 pages JavaScript Basic commands. I know this code sheets from many other training and found this so far always very useful. For me this also depend directly on the desk.
System:
I tried also the possibility to view the videos on the iPad 2. This was easy to do and the videos, as well as the navigation well implemented. It was, incidentally, also on Windows RT, so the Windows Tablets.
The DVD I've tried on Windows 7, 8.1, 10, and Mac OSX. It always opened that particular program for viewing the videos.
I particularly like that the coach uses IE 11 and videos on Windows has created 8.1 because so the video is first extremely topical. But do not worry, even with Windows 7 are all tutorials possible.
DVD training material:
On the DVD there is a folder with exercises, which is assigned to the different chapters. In the video tutorial, this is addressed, but in the book, this information appeared only later in the operation of the course on. Namely, it is possible to open directly on the main window this exercise files. It would be desirable if this information would already be on page 1 or 2, for experienced participants or participants who want to refresh the content, would like to enter my opinion directly into the material.

Files
From my perspective as an MCT coach building, the contents and the voice of the coach are particularly relevant. On these points I have therefore paid particular attention in the consideration.

Voice of the trainer:
The voice of the coach is surprisingly good. I have now looked at by Christian Wenz is the first time an exercise in more detail and am quite excited. For me, the voice fits well and the term between PITCH BEND, and volume change indicates that the coach knows his business. Particularly noticed is my clear pronunciation with just a few misfires, which allows listening very nice. I recommend in this regard the demo on the website of Galileo to be considered.

Structure of the tutorial:
The construction is in my view an episode of a three to four-day course JavaScript. Thus resulting the division into an introduction, programming with JavaScript, some typical applications that use JavaScript for HTML forms, modular windows, pop-ups and IFrames, The Document Object Model (DOM) and web application with Ajax, the new HTML5 APIs and jQuery.
The structure is very well done and has introduced me quickly in the use of JavaScript for the website development. I have one or the other first video introduction skipped, but could well follow.

Content of the tutorial:
The content that I have tested (Chapter 1, 3.6, 8, 9), all carry on our own content and more repeatable. The fact that the content is accurate, probably does not need to be said separately, because even in the tutorial, the results are presented, which were repeated in the same way VS from me. The practice files work perfectly. I have since been installed on my system, Web Matrix 3, and tested Visual Studio 13 Ultimate with Azure Web server.
Particularly noticed to me that there are predominantly many examples of applications. This can, if you want to start a new website project, are used directly. On hand of the course, a website can be so build with features like browser detection for the correct CSS file.
For testing purposes, I have a 10 year old, a 25 year old and let me create a browser switch. This worked in all cases, and also in parallel time. So quietly content across understood by all ages.
Finally, help known from Visual Studio complement possibilities offered also Komodo. I personally like Visual Studio more, but these versions are expensive, so I can understand that the tool of choice is Komodo.
