At the base, a single USB 3.0 Hub very nice quality, brushed aluminum that looks good not with Apple computers.
The transfer rate is well within the standard.
By cons, not possible to connect an infrared receiver, such as wireless mice.

Most useful in this device is the ethernet connection.
Perfect for connecting two computers for example, if there is no wifi.
Where any device with an RJ45 socket.
In addition, it is possible to use any type of ethernet cable, crossed or not.
A real plus!

Note that I'm on Mac and did not need to install any driver recognition by the system is immediate.
(I do not know what it is on Windows)
