Sure, newer maps, though not up to date. Can one at this price do not expect. The ancient routes you can no longer open, unfortunately.
The manual entry of GPS coordinates works better, but this is probably more like Win7-64. Previously I used still WinXP-32.
What was annoying and is, are the installation issues. After all, after both the home PC and the trip computer were renewed and carried out the switch from WinXP-32 on Win7-64, I got both when reinstalling the 2010 version as well as during the initial installation of the 2011 version, each with 2 computers Sustainable help from Microsoft Customer Service. Without this help, I probably would have never looked at the programs again.
The 2011 version was harmless perform his duties for the planning and routing incl. GPS navigation on an 8-month journey from 2012 to 2013 across Europe and has deployed. Even with 12,000 imported POIs it works just fine !!! Unfortunately, we were already going on, as the 2013er version came out.
The hammer came after about 4 months in the deep south of Europe. Win7-64 choked the monthly security update and blew up the entire installation. No rescue CD could help. So, the computer had to be completely re-fitted. Unfortunately, this was the backup of Autoroute to disk also lost. At this point, a great big thank you and huge kudos to the service of Microsoft. I was asked to review the registration data downloading Autoroute 2011 ready. I was able to download it, reinstall and set up. Since it runs smoothly.
The other items described in the review of the 2010 version remained unchanged, but it I have become accustomed. The next trip to the end of the year we will presumably then. Start with the 2013er version.
When driving directions and GPS tracker is very good value for money. What is missing to a right Navi - especially the German voice - makes the passenger :).
The verdict remains: Overall, a useful but not convincing software - thus probably the moderate price.
Nevertheless, a star 'up for the excellent support from Microsoft.
