A little miracle and I was there. We are talking here not of a Marian apparition, but of the healing of a Suzuki DR-BIG 750 Bj. 1989 single-cylinder 50 hp. My bike had barely driven in recent years due to family reasons. The start to this year's winter break (also an awesome stuff otherwise) was only possible with great booster battery and abundant Startpilot spray. The engine ran very jerky and spitting with Nachzündungen and had no more idling. As countermeasures of dual carburetors were removed and cleaned from the merchants in ultrasound basins and new spark plugs / plug mounted. But unfortunately, after the same Rumgestotter. As a last option of the impending scrapping, I then decided to try the carb cleaner from Liqui Moly. My expectations were very low (I have the admixture to gasoline kept rather for homeopathic hoax) but, what can you do for just 10 as the last chance ever wrong ?! Then the application. I have in the empty tank to 10 lit gasoline half doses content (150 ml, mixing ratio therefore 66.6: 1) was added in place of the aforementioned maximum dilution (300 ml to 70 lit, mixing ratio 233.3: 1). Engine start was as previously reluctant motor then held 15 minutes with the hand throttle in various speeds. This changes the engine running were already perceptible (stuttering decreased, idle slowly regained, idle screw has been withdrawn from maximum attack several rotations). Then I let the bike stand for one day (exposure to the mixture in the carburetor?) And then made a 100 km take the exit. The engine had a trailer at about 5,000 rpm, but it was longer journeys less. The engine now has normal idle again and immediately jumps to (virtually already years not more). I suspect that the cleaner has also received the very fine holes in the carburetor-free and / or removed carbon deposits on the valve stems. If I had more attempts, many hours tinkering would have been spared with frustration and gasoline stench me. This stuff is certainly not the panacea for all Alt-motor problems, but for me it was just right. My sincere thanks to the producers and buy recommendation for all sufferers with old motors.
