Under its little unpretentious novel (as indeed warns the preface), Salinger brings us a wonderful life lesson. As stated so well, although in a somewhat abrupt, Zooey Franny his sister in disarray: to hope to be happy, do what you think is right and not what you think others think is right. This is a truth which is yet more so obvious today. It's hard to do but it is the only right way to live. And it is this simple lesson we remember this little book very readable. But for thrill seekers, it is better to abstain: the majority of the book takes place in a bathroom. Yet he spends a lot of things but on a spiritual level. It would be a shame not this book for that.
