- Shame:
I miss especially the funny ideas of the previous versions, radio announcer, etc. pp., Just the joke of the old versions, this seems to be completely fallen to suffer cuts.
- Problem 1: Everything is somehow already known
It's all about the same as with previous versions - The user interface is known (even the right clicks), the construction sites and buildings, the types of available buildings, transport, mines, quirks in road construction (and how it treats) which submitted Suggestions that everything you already know, as well as the whole story ... It's all too familiar to me, I just feel to play an "old" game with something aufgemotzer graphics - and only latent divergent graphic uses now with a fairly quickly.
It's just too little new (but as I said, I have the game played only 30 minutes ... maybe later the whole super cool new features still come ... :))
- Problem 2: The AI - already known
My second major problem is the Game ansich, the Game AI, this appears to be identical to Tropico 3, and I know from Tropico 3 in more detail what I have to do in what order to succeed on my island (see also everything still quite identical from, except for a few more pixels) - I personally play Aufbausimuationen, because I like to play with a new, unknown KI to crack it, I know the way the AI is to break the attraction for me away. After about 20 minutes rather unloving test I had an export volume of more than 30,000 dollars, the game is so for a reasonably savvy Presidente no significant challenge ... Well, that's what I would have liked a challenge ... but there's but unfortunately not.
- Conclusion:
Hence my recommendation to all the Tropico 3 already know who has mastered the Tropico KI already in previous versions be warned, the "enemy" is apparently the same as in Tropico 3, or even easier.
And - does not expect any surprises, the game offers as I do not find. Economists expected a remake of Tropico 3 with higher resolution and slightly better, but by no means outstanding graphics.
- Glimmer of hope:
Of course there are new elements, such as that country must first be explored, there are epochs and therefore later in the gameplay some new buildings, and a few other smaller Gimmiks, Tropico 5 is therefore quite recognizable as an evolution, but these increase new features not my personal Spielpaß, and a multiplayer mode I can personally begin in a little building sim. Ah yes, and DLC is perhaps a glimmer of hope, maybe there's finally a few nice, new building, even if you will probably have to be to buy them.
- Technology:
I tested the game the way under Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, have not noticed any technical problems, everything went flawlessly.
