A little too descriptions initially but a beautiful story

At the time of Queen Elizabeth, we follow the fate of Anne More, a young woman from a good family, perhaps a little too educated the taste of others and definitely knows what she wants and especially that it does not want.

The author clearly knows his stuff and is much documented. Unfortunately, she can not help but want to show us by describing us absolutely everything about everything, details of the progress of a marriage, how a house is held at the time, what were the traditions for this or for that. .. It's a bit boring, especially as it gives rise to long and not very useful descriptions that slow the narrative. But honestly, that's about the only complaint I can make this book very well written, and the pages, history lessons are thankfully rare.

Maeve Haran masters his subject and paid tribute to the love story of Anne and John who actually existed. If you like Elizabethan England and the love stories, this book is for you.
