The velor pads are easy to replace and are very pleasant to. Since I could not directly compare, I can only advise you to replace the original leather pads directly. They lie as a reserve in the closet and they are good. The sound with the velor pads is actually how touted on audiophiles sites, noticeably better. The damping is enormous and causes the music must not be turned up loud. A high volume affects not automatically überpegelt or loud, but you tend to feel deeper into the music without having an unpleasant feeling of having to do directly quieter. The damper must be considered on the road. I use them every day while cycling and therefore make the music is not too loud. At high volume, my neighbor gets in very close proximity a little bit of music. That then sounds very flat, but clearly, as someone told a radio play. I can not imagine that in the railway someone bothers me in mind. Each pair of loud untwisted in-ear buds or cell phone call disturbs as massively more.
Even old non-320kb mp3 tracks now listen to more. These headphones worth just look at everything. The cable is not too short and not too long, a plug-in directly at the listener like the Shure would be the icing on the cake. The strap slip as good as garnicht and wears even after a long time pleasantly.
