I had reported this breach of Editions Atlas who at the time asked me from time to time, on the collection.
So it is with pleasure that I learned of the publication of this missing piece.
We find the same worries finishing in the original collection: there is no shortage bolt, the pipes are all in place. The staging matches in box 11 on page 34 of "Explorers on the Moon", while Captain Haddock bumps against the canopy.
However some "details" of importance spoil the fun:
1 - wide, very lower than that of the collection.
(Yet in the certificate, the editor provides a scale of 1 / 43rd, the same as the collection. Why are chariot occupants to lower the dimensions much? Once exposed, the tank is hardly more massive the van of Sanzot butcher, and unless the fire truck of the Black Island ...)
At 39.9, as part of a limited edition (18,000 copies!) We were entitled to expect better.
Strictly speaking, the tank should measure 28.5 cm instead of 11.5 cm allocated. Certainly it would have been more expensive, but this room would be perfectly inscribed in the rest of the collection.
Corollary of the scale: the size of the characters. Tintin and Snowy are hardly recognizable. Haddock imprecise and Wolf in the upper canopy.
2 - The setting: in the original collection, cardboard decoration is drawn on three sides and built-in transparent box. This device makes it possible to expose the contents of the case, without the protective cardboard.
Here discription, the decor is printed only on one side, and directly on the carton. Also, for the purists (which I am), you must expose the tank in its packaging ...
3 - The choice of the color of the substrate: the purest orange!
A beige plastic injection, the same color as that of the lunar soil represented in the album had it been more expensive for the publisher?
4 - The meaning chariot of displacement: from right to left, opposite to that of all other vehicles in the collection.
The editor can always argue that it is a model without collection. Duly noted. In that case, why did you choose the same lettering to write the title of the album on the front of the media?
Beautiful model reduced at mechanics. High degree of finish. But it is not that of a mechanical but a representation of a graphical work of Hergé.
