Richelle Mead perfectly describes purely human feelings of a person who was not prepared to cross the centuries and sow evil. How not to be touched face an impossible love? Not because it is a Capulet and Montague him but simply because the slightest affection would cause the loss of the man she loves. We really envi crying with her when she lays her eyes on the children she can never have, or when she spurned him she likes without it not understand why.
When the other characters who paces the book, we have his immortal friends did not let me have a big impression. This will not however be the case of Carter angel who despite his seemingly cold, touch me on several occasions (I literally burst into tears at the end of the book or it is in Georgina company). When the "potential" lovers (because of course, we have), Roman did not leave me a great impression. It reminds of me so perfect boyfriend "typical" I at no time felt my heart sink in their relationships. I can not say the same for Seth writer who, under awkward and shy covered hides a deep and feelings that can only touch the reader.
And the plot in all this? Well, if it is present, it will not really be the predominance of the narrative. Some events here and there that will restart and Georgina who will ignore the orders of his superior to find the nature of being that kills immortal. Too bad that the identity of the mysterious murderer quickly becomes obvious and lacking in originality.
Some people who have read the series have assured me that the series lost a little charm and ended up going in circles thereafter. I can still impossible to say if that's true but in any case, this tome 1 I was deeply moved by his main character. Rarely a heroine of Bit-bed has managed to reach me at this point and put my tears in his eyes every time she even left sobbing. For that, two thumbs up Richelle Mead.
And last thing, a big thank you to Milady that ultimately returned to his first choice cover (unattractive) to benefit the beautiful cover of Grand Format.
