A masterpiece 4

A long overdue project: Two legends of blues and rock music, which has long been appreciated each other, take on a common plate. The emphasis is on jointly. It is not primarily a Cale album. The pieces bear the signature of both protagonists, it's a Cale / Clapton recording how she wished.

As might be expected, is the guitar playing of the two old men - which is supported by high-caliber even as Derek Trucks, Doyle Bramhill II and John Mayer - splendid. The sound quality of the recordings is outstanding. What comes out of the speakers, is perfectly attuned and leaves no wish unfulfilled. All styles, rock, blues, country and folk are served. A wonderful album to relax.

The eternal whining alleged Clapton fans, the album was too easy to relaxed, I can not understand. This kind of music has always been one of the great strengths of EC. Those who prefer the harder blues-rock numbers like, I recommend the CDs of Joe Bonamassa.

For me one of the best CDs of the year 2006!
