A masterpiece of

Metal history. Tobias Sammet (Edguy, thus I found this CD), with the help of 10 other singers (including Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween), Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray, Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation), etc.) in a sort of film music he became Metal style made a great story that I now want to enumerate but not because others have done also supported yet by..:

Now for the songs in detail:
1. Prelude
Short intro that advance the voltage can rise 5/5
2. Reach out for the Light
Great opener of the CD, sung with much Schmackes and great solo 5/5
3. Serpents in Paradise
Genuauso good, if not even a little bit better, great Mittelreil 5/5
4. Malleus Maleficarum
The torture chamber of Else Volger, a convicted witch. Backed by violins and the creepy voice of her and Ralf Zdiarstek, especially when he cries: Torturer pull on! and you will hear their cry. 5/5
5. Breaking Away
Great song that fits totally good for breaking of Gabriel and Lugaid from prison. 5/5
6. Farewell
The first and only real ballad with a great but unfortunately recently part of Sharon. Great song 5/5
7. The Glory of Rome
My favorite song, with a great chorus and sexy voices of the singers 5/5
8. In Nomine Patris
Short intro, but also good 5/5
9. Avantasia
The title song, a bit slower than "The Glory of Rome", but just as good. 5/5
10. A New Dimension
Again short intro, anyway good 5/5
11. Inside
A kind of ballad, because only with piano accompaniment, great part of Andre Matos and Kai Hansen. 5/5
12. Sign of the Cross
Great song mid-paced, beautifully orchestrated, but unfortunately a weak part of Kai Hansen, when he sings: "You have been the chosen one ..." that does not sound so great. But otherwise there is nothing wrong. 4.9 / 5
13. The Tower
The last song, a fulminates end (is open, but that will come) with great instrumentation, great part of Timo Tolki. 5/5
A great CD, what is one to say yet. I'm going to still definitely buy Part 2 and Part 3.
