A most excellent album

I discovered "Lilly Wood & The Prick" outright by chance on Deezer, according to my plays ... And I immediately loved!
Admittedly, voice and deliciously husky intonation of the singer is there for something. That said, there is not that much. The lyrics, the musical arrangements of this tinged pop electro retro, are eye-catching in the extreme.
Later, I saw them live in a show, and there, I knew I wanted this album. I rediscovered the songs played on the web in an even broader dimension, titles cut like diamonds.
You've probably heard in a pub or wherever the single "Down the Drain" but all others worth visiting, "Hey, It's Ok", "My Best", but also some sweets like "Cover my Face" or the wonderful "Prayer in C". And then in the sensuality register "Water Ran" is just a gem.
In short, a really great album to listen again and a group which should be given our full attention !!!
