The story we present Jojo Moyes is terrible, touching, sometimes funny, often dure.Vers half the book, I began to have a knot in my stomach and throat. And the end ... pfiouu ... I finished crying, simply. I could not remain indifferent to this story, nor the strong themes that are emphasized (love, rejection, assisted suicide ...).
I liked the main characters, even though I did not always understand certain choices. Will is a man of incredible strength, and I was really sad for him. Suffering is certainly not can guess a disabled or put ourselves in his place, but the author managed brilliantly to show us a glimpse of this life through the character of Will. Each day is a struggle, whether against the disease or the rest (the eyes of others, family life, social life).
As for Lou, is a selfless young woman, sweet, and really lovely. I liked the risks it takes (especially at the end) leaves it to get fleeced. The young woman will change contact Will, she will see the world differently.
By cons, level secondary characters, I really struggled to support Patrick (boyfriend Lou) and Treena (Lou's sister). They are needed in the novel, in the evolution of Lou and Will, but what they have upset me!
This book was a real favorite for me. I just regret that we will not be in the head of Will from time to time, I would have loved to have an alternate narrative. "Before you" is a moving book, poignant, thought-provoking and that got me a real vamp.
